Meet Jennifer (Jen) Ferron, Owner & Principal Consultant at JF HR Solutions. Prior to launching her consultancy, Jen’s career included various roles in human resources, compensation and total rewards management. She supported corporate headquarters to field offices, performing both generalist and total rewards specialist functions. Jen’s ability to master and maneuver the ever-evolving legislative and workforce landscape and clearly break it down for others to understand, allows her to support the work of a variety of people, while fostering lasting professional relationships.
Much of her expertise was honed through the challenging realities of business restructuring and acquisition growth, in both Canada and the U.S. Throughout her corporate career, Jen had the opportunity to adapt her expertise to add value in an eclectic group of business sectors, from the public service to facility management, to luxury retail to energy services.
Today, she happily continues expanding her horizons, supporting and adding value for clients across a broad range of industries, from professional services, to retail, to tech and telecommunications, to not-for-profits, and beyond.
Jen has often been praised for her unique ability to assess and understand the connections between different business units and stakeholders, and the impacts (both short- and long-term) that business decisions can have across the organization. She is known for her strong analytical capabilities and keen attention to detail.
Jen achieved the Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) and Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designations in 2007 and holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree in Human Resource Management from Laurentian University.
When she is not busily supporting her clients, Jen enjoys catching up with family & friends, spoiling her dog, getting her hands dirty through gardening, and giving back to both her home and professional communities. Currently, she is a member of the Board of Directors for Family Counselling & Support Services for Guelph-Wellington; previously, she co-founded the Guelph-Wellington Chapter of The Shoebox Project for Women and served as its Chapter Coordinator for five years.
